June Bower is the Talker in Chief at TalkShop, although she considers herself more of a listener than a talker. June has spent the majority of her career in marketing.
June started her career in the early days of Apple where she worked with Steve Jobs and the rest of the 300 person company.
From Apple she went on to VP and CMO jobs at companies such as Adobe, Alcatel, Cisco, Webex and others. She got the entrepreneurial bug when she worked for Lightspeed Ventures, where she was the marketing partner helping their portfolio companies with their marketing efforts.
June’s favorite job was at a startup in the Silicon Valley with development offices in Israel. In a small company she could let creative juices fly. Through smart, frugal marketing she helped the company get acquired by Alcatel. June is also a guest lecturer at UC Berkeley and Northeastern University.
When June isn’t working she is reading fiction, playing in an orchestra or chamber group, streaming the latest great TV show, joining her Master’s Swim Team or brushing her 17.5 pound Maine Coon cat, Zeus.
Robert Berlin is the Communicator in Chief at TalkShop, where he crafts content and other materials to inspire TalkShop clients. He is a marketing and product veteran of Silicon Valley companies.
Robert started his career in sales at Boeing Computer Services, but the marketing bug bit him early. After earning his MBA from Pepperdine University, he sought greener pastures and landed at Cisco Systems.
He is well-versed in the challenges of remote work and distributed teams. At Cisco, he concurrently managed teams in Bengaluru, London, Boston, Austin and San Jose. He got very little sleep in those days.
Long before pandemics and remote work were the norms, Robert launched the Cisco Virtual Office (CVO). CVO provided executives and traveling employees with remote access tools to work from anywhere and maintain high productivity.
Robert cites his work at start-ups as the most fun of his career, as he enjoys rolling up his sleeves and digging in with a small team.
In his spare time, he plucks a 6-string guitar, scavenges cookbooks for dinner ideas and runs his border collie around the Los Angeles foothills.
